St Irenaeus may rightly be called the first theologian to develop the symbolism of Mary as the New Eve when he alluded to the parallelism between Mary and Eve, affirming that Eve's disobedience was undone by Mary's obedience.
The various speakers at the 2024 International Theological Conference will develop the theme of Our Lady as the New Eve while trying to explain the role of the Spouse of Christ in the mystery of Redemption.
